Yandi Farinango, founder of RS42

Cortex is published by RS42, a studio for agentic AI systems.

Yandi Farinango is a machine learning engineer and the founder of RandomState42 (RS42). He began his career in bioengineering and medical-device R&D, using data and predictive models to guide product development, before moving deeper into machine learning and AI. Today he builds enterprise AI systems and uses RS42 to explore how AI can remember context, connect to tools, and take on real work without removing human judgment.

For UChicago’s AI Immersion Week, he leads the technical track and uses Cortex — RS42’s live public knowledge graph — as a practical example students can learn from and build toward.
